This week, we worked on the final draft of the VFW Patriots Pen. On Monday, we went over our essays in class and read some of the students work. This helped people because when they read it out loud some of them made no sense.
On Tuesday, we started the day off with an "Analyze That" political cartoon. We analyzed the snake cartoon by Benjamin Franklin, which was the first political cartoon ever made. Then we analyzed the cartoon about the "Tax Man". We answered questions for each of them and used SOAP to analyze them as well.
On Wednesday I was not here, so look at Jack Caffo's blog for information.
On Thursday, we worked on another "Analyze that" cartoon, which was the Miss Ame-Stamp. We answered more questions and used SOAP as well. Them we worked on our VFW Patriots Pen essays, and then at the end of the class we made Turkeys out of paper.
On Friday we will put our VFW Patriots Pen letter and form into a letter and send them to the VFW.
